REVIVE HEALING
Treatment Terms and Conditions
Effective from 3 August 2026 | Restore. Rebalance. Revive.
Please read before booking
These terms apply to treatments provided by Revive Healing and to bookings made directly, through a third-party booking system or through the Revive Healing website. They should be read with the Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
1. Scope and acceptance
By booking or attending an appointment, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read these terms. A booking is not a medical referral and does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Revive Healing may update these terms where reasonably necessary; the version in force when an appointment is booked will normally apply to that appointment.
2. Appointments and client responsibilities
Please arrive on time and provide complete and accurate information during consultation, including relevant health conditions, medication, pregnancy, recent surgery, injuries and changes since your last appointment. You must tell the practitioner promptly if you feel unwell or uncomfortable before or during treatment.
If you arrive late, the appointment may need to be shortened so that the next client is not delayed. The full appointment fee may remain payable where the reserved time cannot reasonably be used for another client.
3. Fees and payment
Payment is due at the time of the appointment unless a different arrangement has been agreed in advance. Bank transfer payments are accepted; please ask Revive Healing for the current bank details. Please use the payment reference requested and do not send bank or card details through an unsecured message.
4. Cancellation, rescheduling and non-attendance
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Notice must be received at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment start time.
Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or a client does not attend, Revive Healing reserves the right to charge 50% of the appointment fee. This charge is intended to reflect the time reserved and the likely direct loss caused by the late cancellation. Relevant circumstances, costs avoided and whether the appointment can be filled by another client will be considered; no charge will be made to the extent that it would exceed Revive Healing’s reasonable direct loss.
If Revive Healing must cancel, you will be offered a rearranged appointment or a refund of any amount already paid for the cancelled appointment. Revive Healing is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from an appointment cancellation, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
5. Distance bookings and statutory cancellation rights
If you book online, by telephone or by message, you may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. If you ask for an appointment to take place during that 14-day period, you expressly request that the service begins within the cancellation period. Once the treatment has been fully provided, the statutory right to cancel that completed service is lost. If you cancel after a service has begun but before it is complete, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied. These statutory rights take priority where they apply.
6. Consent to treatment
At the first visit, clients are asked to sign consent to receive treatment as part of the consultation process. Consent is voluntary, informed and ongoing. You may ask questions, request that an area is avoided, pause treatment or withdraw consent at any time without giving a reason.
When you rebook the same treatment, the existing signed consent will normally remain on file and the new booking confirms your wish to receive that treatment, subject to a brief check that your health information and consent remain current. If you book an additional or different treatment, the practitioner will explain any material differences and confirm that your existing consent covers it or obtain updated consent where appropriate. Booking alone does not remove your right to change or withdraw consent.
7. Contraindications and medical clearance
A contraindication is a circumstance in which a treatment should be avoided, adapted or postponed. The following list supports safe decision-making but is not exhaustive. Revive Healing may decline, adapt or postpone treatment where it would be unsafe, inappropriate, outside the practitioner’s training or contrary to insurer or professional guidance.
7.1 Reflexology: When treatment must be avoided
-
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism: treatment must be avoided because of the risk associated with a blood clot.
-
Contagious skin or foot conditions: including athlete’s foot, verrucas, impetigo or active fungal or bacterial infections, to avoid worsening or spreading infection.
-
Severe foot trauma: including recent fractures, severe bruising, open wounds or open ulcers on the feet or lower legs.
-
Acute systemic illness: including a high fever, severe vomiting, diarrhoea or an acute infectious illness.
-
Substance intoxication: treatment will not be provided where a client appears to be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
-
7.2 Reflexology: medical advice or clearance may be required
-
Cardiovascular or circulatory conditions: including unstable heart disease, severe phlebitis or uncontrolled high or low blood pressure.
-
Diabetes: particularly where there is severe peripheral neuropathy, reduced sensation or impaired healing in the feet.
-
Active cancer treatment: treatment will only proceed where it is within the practitioner’s competence and any required clearance has been obtained from the client’s oncology or medical team; referral to an oncology-trained specialist may be appropriate.
-
Pregnancy complications: including bleeding, pre-eclampsia, high-risk pregnancy or a history of miscarriage. Extra caution may also be appropriate in the first trimester.
-
Recent surgery or major trauma: where post-operative or injury recovery has not been medically signed off.
Where medical advice or clearance is requested, treatment will not proceed until Revive Healing is satisfied that it is appropriate and within the practitioner’s competence. Any medical clearance remains the client’s responsibility and does not require a medical professional to endorse complementary therapy generally.
7.3 Reiki
There are no generally recognised medical contraindications to Reiki as a gentle, non-invasive complementary therapy. However, treatment may still be adapted, postponed or declined where the client is acutely unwell, intoxicated, unable to give valid consent, requires urgent medical attention, or where proceeding would otherwise be unsafe or inappropriate. Reiki must not delay medical assessment or treatment.
7.4 Crystal healing
Crystal healing has no proven medical contraindications, but sensible physical precautions apply. Crystals will not be placed on broken or infected skin. Potentially toxic, soluble, sharp, damaged or unsuitable minerals will not be used in a way that creates a risk of ingestion, skin exposure or contamination. Crystals you have purchased must not be ingested or used to prepare drinking water or elixirs. Revive Healing will not provide you with crystal elixirs or use crystals in any supplied drinking water. Crystal healing must never delay professional medical care.
8. Medical and wellbeing disclaimer
Complementary therapy, not medical treatment
Reiki, crystal healing and reflexology are complementary wellbeing therapies. They do not diagnose, treat or cure medical or psychological conditions and are not a replacement for advice, diagnosis, medication or treatment from a GP, consultant, pharmacist, mental health professional or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional. No particular outcome is promised or guaranteed.
Do not stop or change prescribed medication or medical treatment because of information provided by Revive Healing or because of a complementary therapy session. If you have symptoms or concerns, seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional. In an emergency call 999; for urgent NHS advice use NHS 111.
9. Right to refuse, adapt or end treatment
Revive Healing may refuse, adapt, postpone or stop treatment where there are safety concerns, contraindications, inappropriate behaviour, harassment, intoxication, inability to consent, non-disclosure of relevant information or a request outside the practitioner’s scope of practice. Where safe to do so, the reason will be explained. Fees will be handled fairly according to the circumstances and services already supplied.
10. Clients under 18
A parent or legal guardian must provide consent for a client under 18 and may be required to remain present, depending on the client’s age, the treatment and safeguarding considerations. The young person’s own agreement will also be sought wherever they are able to participate in the decision. Treatment will not continue if the young person does not wish it to proceed.
11. Privacy and treatment records
Personal information, consultation records, health information and treatment notes are handled in accordance with the Revive Healing Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law. Health information is treated as special category personal data. Please see the website Privacy Policy for details of the purposes, lawful bases, retention, sharing and your data protection rights.
12. Website cookies and analytics
The Revive Healing website is currently hosted on Wix and is under construction. Cookies and similar technologies are small data files or identifiers used to operate websites, remember settings, protect security and, where permitted, understand website use. Wix may place essential cookies needed for security, fraud prevention, stability, rendering and core functionality. These cannot normally be switched off through the consent banner because the site cannot operate securely without them.
12.1 Optional cookies
-
Functional cookies: may support optional features or integrations requested by the visitor.
-
Analytics cookies: may help Revive Healing understand visits, page use, performance and errors so the website can be improved. This may include Wix Analytics or another analytics provider.
-
Marketing cookies: may be used only if advertising, social media or similar integrations are added in future.
Where consent is legally required, optional cookies and scripts will not be activated unless you make an affirmative choice through the cookie banner. You can accept, reject or choose categories and can change or withdraw your choice later through the website’s cookie or privacy settings. Refusing optional cookies will not prevent access to the website’s core content, although an optional feature may not work.
12.2 Wix and third parties
Wix acts as the website platform and may process technical information on Revive Healing’s behalf. Wix apps, business tools, embedded content, custom code or third-party integrations may add further cookies. The live cookie-settings panel should identify the current providers, purposes and durations. Third parties process information under their own privacy notices where they act independently.
Because the website is being developed, the cookies in use may change as features are added or removed. Revive Healing will review the site using Wix’s cookie scan and update the banner and this policy when material changes are made. The latest version will be displayed on the website.
13. Complaints and concerns
Please raise any concern as soon as possible so Revive Healing has an opportunity to respond. This does not affect your right to obtain independent advice, use an alternative dispute route or exercise statutory rights.
14. Liability and statutory rights
Revive Healing will provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Subject to those rights, Revive Healing is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made.
15. Governing law and contact details
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring proceedings elsewhere within the United Kingdom.
